Torreilles is a fascinating Catalan town, and local beaches include Bourdigou to the south and Blaukhaus beach, with remnants from the Second World War, to the north. The Pyrenees Orientale are known as the gateway to Spain. The border just a short drive away and day trips to the pretty town of Cadaques, the charming fishing village of El Port de la Selva, and the dazzling city of Girona are all worth adding to your must-do list.
